World Family Doctor Day 2025

“Building Mental Resilience in a Changing World”
May 19, 2025

Welcome to the official WFDD Caribbean 2025 showcase — a celebration of the heart, resilience, and unity of family doctors across the Caribbean.

World Family Doctor Day (WFDD) is commemorated globally on May 19 each year, offering us the opportunity to recognize the vital role family physicians play in delivering community-based, patient-centered care.

This year’s theme, “Building Mental Resilience in a Changing World,” resonates deeply with our regional challenges — from climate change and economic shifts to the mental health impacts of isolation and chronic disease. Yet, through it all, our family doctors remain at the front lines, helping patients, families, and entire communities stay grounded, hopeful, and strong.

Across the Caribbean, from Antigua to Trinidad, we’ve come together — despite our geographical separation — to celebrate this special day through a variety of events, health fairs, school outreach programs, media campaigns, community walks, academic forums, and more.

What You'll Find on This Site:

·         A country-by-country snapshot of WFDD activities across the region

·         Photos and videos capturing the spirit of our celebrations

·         Published reflections and media articles

·         A growing archive of resources and creative outreach

We invite you to browse the pages, celebrate with us, and share the stories of our Caribbean Family Doctors with your networks.

Let us unite, inspire, and elevate primary care — together.

Brought to you by the Caribbean College of Family Physicians (CCFP), with special thanks to all our regional partners and contributors.
